By accessing or using PeerVerified ("the Service," "we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our Service.

These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including visitors, registered users, profile subjects, and subscribers.

Service Description

PeerVerified is a platform that facilitates the sharing of professional reviews, feedback, and insights about individuals in professional contexts. We provide the technical infrastructure for users to submit and view reviews but do not control or endorse the content posted.

Platform Role

PeerVerified acts solely as an intermediary platform. We:

• Do NOT author, create, or edit user reviews
• Do NOT verify the truthfulness or accuracy of user submissions
• Do NOT endorse any opinions expressed in reviews
• Do NOT act as the publisher of user content
• Are NOT responsible for consequences arising from user-generated content

No Warranty of Accuracy

We make no representations or warranties about the accuracy, reliability, completeness, or timeliness of any content posted by users. All information should be independently verified before making any decisions based upon it.

Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Promptly update your information if it changes
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use

Account Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or harm the integrity of our platform.

Content Ownership

You retain ownership of content you submit but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content on our platform.

Content Standards

When posting reviews or other content, you agree NOT to submit content that:

• Is false, misleading, or deceptive
• Is defamatory, libelous, or invades privacy
• Is harassing, threatening, or discriminatory
• Contains personal attacks or irrelevant personal information
• Violates any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringes on intellectual property rights
• Contains malware, spam, or commercial solicitations
• Impersonates another person or entity

User Liability

You are solely responsible and liable for all content you post. You agree to indemnify and hold PeerVerified harmless from any claims, damages, or legal actions arising from your content.

You agree NOT to use our Service to:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent reviews
• Engage in harassment, stalking, or intimidation
• Manipulate ratings or reviews through coordinated efforts
• Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
• Scrape, harvest, or collect data without permission
• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Violate the privacy rights of others

Professional Context

Reviews must be based on genuine professional interactions or experiences. Personal matters unrelated to professional conduct should not be included.

Factual Basis

Reviews should be based on factual experiences and observations. Speculation, rumors, or hearsay should not be presented as facts.

Constructive Feedback

While negative experiences can be shared, reviews should focus on professional conduct and performance rather than personal attacks.

No Conflicts of Interest

Do not post reviews about yourself, competitors for personal gain, or in exchange for compensation or other benefits.

Subscription Plans

We offer various subscription plans with different features and access levels. Current pricing and features are displayed on our pricing page.

Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges according to your selected plan.

Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Refunds are handled according to our refund policy, which may be updated from time to time.

Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify subscription prices with reasonable notice to existing subscribers.

Claiming Process

Individuals may claim their professional profiles by verifying their identity through our verification process.

Verification Requirements

To claim a profile, you must provide valid identification and proof of your professional identity, such as LinkedIn profile or official documentation.

False Claims

Attempting to claim a profile that does not belong to you is strictly prohibited and may result in account termination and legal action.

Platform Content

All PeerVerified branding, logos, designs, and platform features are our exclusive property and protected by intellectual property laws.

User Content License

By posting content, you grant us a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, modify, publicly display, reproduce, and distribute your content on our platform.

Third-Party Content

You must not post content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others. We will respond to valid DMCA takedown requests.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PeerVerified, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another party
• Your content posted on the platform
• Any claims that your content caused damage to a third party

Informal Resolution

Before filing any legal action, you agree to try to resolve disputes informally by contacting us at legal@peerverified.com.

Arbitration

Any disputes not resolved informally shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

Class Action Waiver

You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis and waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitration.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified through the Service or via email. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

We encourage you to review these Terms periodically to stay informed of any updates.

Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature if available.

Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at our discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Content you have posted may remain on the platform at our discretion.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which PeerVerified operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and PeerVerified regarding the use of the Service.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
